The RTAA Field Day 2024, hosted at Sydney Trains’ Chullora Rail Precinct on 8–9 May, was a standout celebration marking the 50th anniversary of the Rail Track Association Australia. As the largest rail industry exhibition in Australia, this iconic biennial event attracted thousands of professionals, suppliers, and innovators from across the country.

Over two action-packed days, attendees explored the latest in rail technology innovation, with large-scale outdoor machinery demonstrations, technical papers presented at the Fettler’s Shed, and product showcases focused on rail infrastructure, maintenance, and asset management. The relaxed yet professional atmosphere was enhanced by the popular No Tie Gala Dinner, which fostered invaluable networking among rail industry leaders.
