On 5 April 2019, Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Georges Estate Health & Aged Care Community in Penshurst, New South Wales. This event marked the commencement of a $65 million project aimed at delivering premium health outcomes for local residents and offering a broad range of aged care options in south-east Sydney.
The ceremony was officiated by the Hon. Ken Wyatt, then Minister for Senior Australians and Aged Care, alongside Hall & Prior CEO Graeme Prior. The event brought together community leaders, healthcare professionals, and local stakeholders to celebrate the beginning of a facility designed to meet the increasing demand for specialised and varied aged care services in the region.
Georges Estate Health & Aged Care Community was envisioned as a purpose-built space for healing, featuring state-of-the-art amenities such as a cinema, heated swimming pool, gymnasium, wellness centre, day therapy centre, and a primary and allied health clinic. The facility planned to offer 111 residential aged care beds, including 18 dedicated dementia beds and 10 premium suites, catering to the diverse cultural and lifestyle needs of the local community.
Sydney Event Photo was honoured to document this significant milestone, capturing the essence of the groundbreaking ceremony and the collaborative spirit of those involved. Our professional event photography aimed to reflect the commitment of Hall & Prior to providing accessible, contemporary aged care options and better health outcomes through connection to quality care services and facilities.
The Georges Estate project exemplifies Hall & Prior’s dedication to creating welcoming, compassionate, and connected communities that respond to local needs. As the facility continues to serve the Penshurst area, it stands as a testament to the importance of innovative and care-focused approaches in the aged care sector.
